It gained independence in 1965. Its population is about 16 million. Its capital city is called Harare. English is a widely used language in Zimbabwe. There are about 10 ethnic groups in Zimbabwe.<\/p>\n<p>The main 2 ethnic groups are:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; 70% Shona (Christians).<br \/>\n&#8211; 20% Zulu (Christians).<\/p>\n<p>The president of Zimbabwe is Emmerson Mnangagwa who came into office in 2018. He is a member of a political party called the Zimbabwe African National Union \u2013 Patriotic Front (ZANU\u2013PF). He was vice-president to Robert Mugabe (former president) but he started a coup d&#8217;\u00e9tat after he was dismissed. It seems like there are no friends in politics.<\/p>\n<p>Although there are sights in Zimbabwe that give a good impression of development, there is yet a dark side where people suffer from poverty. It is a fact that Zimbabwe is among the poorest countries in the world as GDP Per Capita but the corruption of governments makes things even worse for the ordinary citizen. The access of water is difficult for a lot of people there.<\/p>\n<p>It is worth mentioning that Zimbabwe has one of the largest reserves of platinum but the way to enlighten the dark souls of men remains a mystery.<\/p>\n<p>Some citizens even state that the time of President Mugabe was much better in terms of economy.
