An affiliate organisation of the Namibia Non-Governmental Organisation Forum Trust (Nangof Trust) has petitioned the European Union (EU) headquarters to stop funding the organisation until it accounts for misused money.<\/p>\n

The appeal was accompanied by confidential emails, minutes of meetings, financial statements and other documents sent to the EU office in Brussels by a Nangof affiliate last month.<\/p>\n

One email called for the resignation of Nangof CEO Ivin Lombardt amidst allegations of maladministration and a lack of transparency and accountability.<\/p>\n

However, Lombardt was not moved by the email, saying it is a \u201crehashed complaint\u201d from a person known to Nangof.<\/p>\n

According to the complainant the EU Delegation to Namibia has been overlooking these complaints by calling them mere \u201callegations\u201d.<\/p>\n
