Namibia – Eight men, aged between 23 and 50, have been arrested for the rape of a 10-year-old girl at Okandjira village in the Otjozondjupa Region.<\/p>\n

The alleged sexual assaults reportedly occurred in the Ovitoto area between September last year and June 22, when the suspects were arrested.<\/p>\n

Nampol Sergeant Slogan Matheus told journalists earlier this week that police investigations are continuing.
\nHe did not, however, divulge whether the suspects are known to the victim.<\/p>\n

Another rape case was opened at the Windhoek Police Station after a 45-year-old women was assaulted and raped by an unknown suspect along Arrie Street in Khomasdal this past Saturday between 03:00 and 04:00.<\/p>\n

According to Matheus, the victim was on her way home from a night out. She is currently admitted at Katutura State Hospital with serious injuries.<\/p>\n

She is in a stable condition…<\/p>\n
