{"id":3187,"date":"2014-06-25T19:31:02","date_gmt":"2014-06-25T12:31:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/southafricatoday.net\/africa-news\/?p=3187"},"modified":"2014-06-25T19:31:15","modified_gmt":"2014-06-25T12:31:15","slug":"malemas-eff-replica-to-launch-in-namibia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/southafricatoday.net\/africa-news\/southern-africa\/namibia\/malemas-eff-replica-to-launch-in-namibia\/","title":{"rendered":"Malema&#8217;s EFF replica to launch in Namibia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Namibia is reportedly set to witness the launch of a replica version of Julius Malema&#8217;s Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) party, after a soon-to-be registered Namibia Economic Freedom Fighters (NEFF) formation was introduced to the public on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>According to The Namibian, the NEEF was being spearheaded by a former member of the ruling Swapo party, Epafras Mukwiilongo, who has styled himself as the &#8220;commander in chief&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Mukwiilongo and his right hand man Kalimbo Iipumbu, who is the second commander in chief, were reportedly in South Africa recently and they claimed links to Malema, saying their party was a &#8220;radical left&#8221; political, anti-capitalist and anti-imperialist movement.<\/p>\n<p>Talks with EFF<\/p>\n<p>They also claimed to have held talks with the EFF, said the report.<\/p>\n<p>The movement is against homosexuality and the foreign exploitation of the country&#8217;s natural resources, proposing that land and natural resources should be owned by indigenous people.<\/p>\n<p>Mukwiilongo accused the Swapo-led government of conforming to &#8220;capitalist interest&#8221; at the expense of the citizens.<\/p>\n<p>According to South African History Online, Swapo (South West African People\u2019s Organisation) is Namibia&#8217;s liberation movement which remains the country\u2019s ruling party today.
