Gaborone \u2014 Botswana Football Association (BFA) decision to relieve Alex Malete of his duties as head coach of the women’s national team will allow him to focus on player development.<\/p>\n
Malete was relieved of his duties three days before the team was due to travel to South Africa for the COSAFA Women’s Championship.<\/p>\n
The squad he had assembled for the tournament was also reshuffled, with some players sent home and replaced by the Under-20.<\/p>\n
