President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi has referred the draft Criminal Procedure Law back to the House of Representatives for further examination of objections raised concerning several of its articles.<\/p>\n
A draft of the Criminal Procedure law was received from the House of Representatives on August 26, 2025, with a request for its promulgation. Numerous appeals have since been submitted to the President of the Republic, urging reconsideration of certain provisions within the draft.<\/p>\n
