Zambia’s former President Edgar Lungu died in South Africa today, his party announced in a statement.<\/p>\n
The Patriotic Front said Lungu, 68, was “receiving specialized treatment” for an illness they didn’t disclose.<\/p>\n
He was president of Zambia from 2015 to 2021, losing the poll to President Hakainde Hichilema, and withdrew from politics.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
