Maputo \u2014 Mozambique’s fugitive opposition leader, Venancio Mondlane, has threatened another “two to three months’ of anti-government demonstrations.<\/p>\n
He was speaking in an interview with the BBC, in which he claimed that pressure from the demonstrations might force the ruling Frelimo Party into negotiations.<\/p>\n
But when, in late November, President Filipe Nyusi offered a dialogue with all four of the candidates from the 9 October presidential election, Mondlane was the only one who did not show up….<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
