Zanu PF Mazowe North legislator, Tsungai Makumbe has appeared in court for allegedly raping his ex-wife, impregnating and infecting her with HIV.<\/p>\n
He appeared before Magistrate Marewanazvo Gofa on Tuesday and was remanded out of custody.<\/p>\n
Makumbe is expected back in court on October 3 awaiting his trial.<\/p>\n
The rape allegedly took place in November 2023 and was reported early this week.<\/p>\n
It is alleged that Makumbe went to the complainant’s residence where he called her outside.<\/p>\n
