Nigeria: Fresh Rise in Local Airfare Imminent – Operators

The Airline Operators of Nigeria (AON), on Tuesday, urged Nigerians to brace up for yet another increase in the price of local airlines tickets across the country.

Leadership reports that currently, return tickets from Lagos to Abuja cost an average of N250,000.

However, speaking on Arise TV programme, on Tuesday, the spokesman of AON, Prof. Obiora Okonkwo, said due to multiple taxation and exchange rates, the price of local airline tickets will continue to rise across the country.
