A Liberian national who died in quarantine in Lagos was suffering from the deadly virus Ebola, Nigerian officials said, confirming that the worst-ever outbreak of the virus has reached Africa’s most populous country.
Nigeria’s health minister, Onyebuchi Chukwu, on Friday said the “patient was subjected to thorough medical tests … which confirmed the virus of Ebola,” as the cause of death.
The man, who collapsed on arrival at the airport on Thursday, was kept in isolation and had not entered the city, the official earlier told the Reuters news agency…
