President Robert Mugabe’s wife, Grace, is set to lead the Zanu (PF) women’s league after being unanimously recommended by the party’s 10 provinces yesterday.
Newsday reported that the endorsement of Grace Mugabe has raised fears within Zanu-PF that this was part of her husband’s plan to groom her to take over the presidency.
