‘Last dictator standing’: Nando’s banned Mugabe commercial

Zimbabwe dictator doesn’t approve this message, and his protectors in South Africa agreed.

Apparently the fact that he is slowly starving 15 million people, caused the worst famine in Africa, and driven out of the country 6 millions Zimbabweans are not as offensive as this ad.

The end of the ‘last standing dictator’ in sight?

Zimbabwe’s veterans of the liberation struggle, long time allies of ageing President Robert Mugabe and his ruling Zanu PF party, have turned against the 92-year-old leader whom they described as a “dictator”.

In a recent statement, MDC national spokesperson Kurauone Chihwayi said; “Zimbabwe is in a crisis that may explode if the attack on civil liberties continue unabated. Zanu PF is now dead and at an advanced stage of decomposition and only a miracle will inject life for it to resurrect.”

He added: “The brutal attack on the leadership of the authentic Zimbabwe National Liberation War Veterans Association is an insult to all genuine liberators of our motherland.

“We are calling on Mugabe to release the War Veterans leadership caged for exercising their democratic right.

“The people of Zimbabwe are now ready to die for their country and no amount of intimidation or tactics will stop the demand for a democratic leadership.”

The veterans have been Mugabe’s core loyalists since the country’s 1970s liberation war against white rule, often using violence to crush the opposition.

But frustration is growing in Zimbabwe over its rapidly deteriorating economy and alleged corruption, which the veterans’ communique blamed on “bankrupt leadership”.
