Defence ministers from the International Conference on the Great Lakes Region (ICGLR) are expected to meet in Zambia on Saturday, January 10, to discuss security issues in eastern DR Congo.
Items on the agenda include the operationalisation of a long-delayed ceasefire monitoring team tasked with overseeing the ceasefire signed between the Congolese government and the AFC/M23 rebels in Doha in October 2025, according to the ICGLR Secretariat.
