NEFF to target Swapo’s two-thirds

“We were the ones who campaigned for Swapo to achieve a two-thirds majority and we are the ones who are going to undo Swapo’s two-thirds majority because it is being abused for the benefit of a few people,” says Festus Shaduva, the interim administration and information secretary of the Namibia Economic Freedom Fighters (NEFF).

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Namibian Sun at Oshakati on Wednesday, Shaduva outlined the aims and objectives of Namibia’s youngest political formation, saying the idea to form the NEFF came as a result of the current lack of direction.

“Namibia does not have a strong opposition party to tame Swapo’s perpetuation of socio-economic inequalities. Current leaders have strayed from path of the liberation struggle,” he said.

Shaduva said his party wants equal distribution of the country’s wealth, something he said can not be done by selfish leaders.

“But we cannot simply sit here and blame selfish leaders. We have to do something to correct the situation. That is why the NEFF was established,” he said…
