THE Swapo Party vice-president, Hage Geingob, says he is healthy enough to be the next President of Namibia despite fears to the contrary.
The Prime Minister, who is the automatic presidential candidate by virtue of his position in Swapo, made the remarks at the closing ceremony of the four-day Heads of Mission Conference in Swakopmund on Friday.
“There was an SMS in one of our newspapers that said this man is old to start with, he had brain surgery and now it’s his eye. The man cannot see, how can he be president? He must go to his farm,” he said, quoting the text message.
Geingob underwent minor brain surgery at the Mediclinic in Windhoek in August last year…
