Mozambique: Nyusi Urged to Declare State of Emergency

Maputo — Mozambique’s Council of State has called on President Filipe Nyusi to declare a state of emergency, in light of the Covid-19 crisis.

The Council of State is an advisory body, which the President must consult before issuing a declaration of war, or of a state of emergency.
