Mozambique: EU Grant for Cabo Delgado Development

Maputo — The European Union on Wednesday announced an aid package of 50 million euros (about 59 million US dollars) for development projects and humanitarian aid in the northern Mozambican province of Cabo Delgado.

Speaking at the signing ceremony in Maputo, the EU ambassador, Antonio Sanchez-Benedito Gaspar, said that 25 million dollars will be channelled as assistance to the people displaced from their homes by terrorist attacks in the province.
