Kills people and takes their belongings to earn a living for himself

Maseru – The body of a 34 year-old man found dead and buried in his garden in Lithoteng, Maseru, was exhumed last Saturday.

The Maseru Urban Police say the deceased stayed alone in a big house in Lithoteng, and was reported missing by his neighbors who notified the police that they no longer saw the owner of the house – but rather an unknown man who visited the house regularly since the disappearance of the owner.

According to Maseru Urban Police Commander Senior Superintendent Mofokeng Kolo, a 21 year-old man who was found staying at the house of the deceased is the prime suspect in the murder of the 34 year-old man.

The suspect did not deny killing the owner of the house, with police saying “The explanation he gave is that the deceased welcomed him at his home after he told him that he has no where to stay and has no family. Then the deceased allowed him to stay in his shack which is in the same plot as his big house.”

Senior Superintendent Kolo further told Public Eye Online that, “The suspect told the police that he kills people and takes their belongings to earn a living for himself. His targets are mainly people who stay alone and he does his research to ensure that indeed the target stays alone.”

The suspect’s clothes were found in a wardrobe in the deceased’s house, while the bed mattress was turned over to hide the blood spilled during the killing…
