CAIRO – An Egyptian court sentenced to death ten people, including the Muslim Brotherhood Mufti, on Saturday for the murder of two people and attempted murder of six others.
It also sentenced 37 others, including Brotherhood leader Mohamed Badie in absentia, to life and fined them 20,000 Egyptian pounds over the same case.
Badie is facing the death sentence in two other cases.
The court also ordered that the defendants’ assets be seized.
