Zimbabwe: Kenya Denies Awarding .2-Billion Airport Expansion Contract to Controversial Businessman Chivayo

Kenya has denied that a company linked to controversial Zimbabwean businessman Wicknell Chivayo has won a multi-billion-US-dollar contract to expand the country’s main airport, Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), in the capital Nairobi.

This follows earlier reports that Chivayo’s company, IMC Construction, was part of a consortium that had won a $2.9-billion (375 billion Kenyan shillings) tender to expand the busy airport.
