Kenya: Kengen to Add 42.5mw of Green Energy At Seven Forks

Nairobi — Kenya Electricity Generating Company (KenGen) has announced plans to install a 42.5 megawatt (MW) solar power plant along the Seven Forks dams, where the company generates most of its hydroelectricity.

The project, which will be implemented in partnership with the French Development Agency (AFD) and is expected to last for two years and four months, seeks to scale up Kenya’s green energy deployment.
