Villagers shot, burned and stabbed in DRC

Addis Ababa – At least 34 people were killed and 27 injured in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo in an attack that appeared to be part of an ethnic conflict over cattle, news reports said on Sunday.

The attackers used guns and knives to kill some of their victims in the village of Mutarule in South Kivu province.
