Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe has sarcastically promised to travel to Washington and ask for Barack Obama’s hand in marriage, following the legalisation of gay marriage across America by the Supreme Court last week, according to reports.
Mugabe, who is known for his extreme anti-gay views allegedly said this during an interview with state radio, the reports said.
“I’ve just concluded since president Obama endorses the same-sex marriage, advocates homosexual people and enjoys an attractive countenance thus if it becomes necessary , I shall travel to Washington, DC , get down on my knee , and ask his [Obama’s] hand,” Mugabe was reported as saying.
Mugabe said he could not understand why “this people dare to defy Christ’s explicit orders as our Lord prohibited mankind from sodomy”, adding that the American government was run by pervert, Satan-worshipers who insulted the Great American nation…
