Five suspects killed in Nairobi crime wave

Nairobi, Kenya – Police gunned down three people while two others were lynched by a mob on Thursday.

This brings to nine the number of people killed in crime incidents around Nairobi in less than 24 hours.

Cases of shooting by Kenyans privately licensed to carry firearms have also increased, according to official reports.

In Ongata Rongai, police shot dead a robbery suspect, while two accomplices were stoned to death by a mob at 11.30am.
