Botswana’s Department of Civil and National Registration has refused to register an association for sex workers, APA learnt here on Tuesday. Sisonke Association Botswana had approached the department seeking to be registered as a welfare organisation.
Sisonke is a national organization run by sex workers and is currently housed under the Botswana Network on Ethics, Law and HIV/AIDS (BONELA).
