Libya: Eastern Libya Bans Entry of Nationals From Four African Countries Amid Migration Crackdown

Benghazi, Libya, June 24, 2026 — Authorities in eastern Libya have banned the entry of nationals from Sudan, Eritrea, Ethiopia and Somalia, saying the measure is part of efforts to reorganize and regulate the flow of foreign nationals entering the country.

A decree issued by the eastern-based administration in Benghazi said citizens of the four countries would be barred from entering Libya through all land, sea and air ports.
