Tunisia: Presidential Pardon Granted to 1,187 Prisoners

Tunis, May 26 — President Kais Saïed granted a presidential pardon to 1,187 prisoners on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, the presidency announced on Tuesday.

According to a statement, this measure will allow the release of the prisoners concerned.

The Head of State also ordered the granting of conditional release to an additional 187 prisoners, according to the same source.
