Ghana: Cocoa Road Contracts Cause of Cocobod’s Financial Strain – – Minister

The Minister of Roads and Highways, Mr Kwame Governs Agbodza, has attributed the financial challenges currently facing the Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD) to the awarding of cocoa road contracts worth GH¢23 billion during the 2023/2024 fiscal year.

He explained that the magnitude of these contracts forced COCOBOD to channel significant funds into procuring construction materials, adversely affecting the institution’s financial position.
