Ghana: Cedi Now Standout Performer Among Global Currencies – Finance Minister

The Minister of Finance (MoF), Dr Cassiel Ato Forson, said yesterday that the cedi has solidified its position as the standout performer among global currencies, achieving a 16.7 per cent appreciation against the US dollar year-to-date.

This marked a significant reversal from the 13.4 per cent depreciation observed in the same period of 2024, he said.
