Kenya: Francis Gaitho to Surrender to DCI Over Cybercrime Charges

Nairobi — Online activist Francis Ng’ang’a Gaitho, declared wanted by the DCI for cybercrimes and contempt of court, has announced he will present himself at the DCI headquarters on January 6, 2025, at 10 AM, with his lawyers.

Gaitho, who faces charges under the Computer Misuse and Cyber Crimes Act for publishing false information, rejected the accusations, claiming they are politically motivated and infringe on his right to free speech.
