FIJ, a platform founded by Mr Soyombo, said he had been detained by the Nigerian Army in Port Harcourt for three days.
The Nigerian Army has confirmed arresting and detaining investigative journalist Fisayo Soyombo.
The Army said in a statement on Friday that Mr Soyombo, the founder of Foundation for Investigative Journalism (FIJ), was arrested on “an illegal oil bunkering site” in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
