Kenya: Govt to Genetically Preserve Two Remaining Northern White Rhinos

Nairobi — President William Ruto has affirmed the government’s commitment to the genetic preservation of the two remaining Northern White Rhinos in the world, which are held at the Ol Pejeta Conservancy in Laikipia.

Speaking during the 20th anniversary celebration of the conservancy, the president assured that the government, in collaboration with the conservancy, will provide the necessary resources to ensure that the Northern Whites’ genetic lineage will not disappear.
