Metro police officers made four arrests and recovered a substantial amount of mandrax and tik in a 24 hour period, in Hanover Park, Delft and Heideveld.
In the most recent incident last night, officers on patrol were tipped off about drug dealing in Heideveld and apprehended a suspect who tried to run into a house in the area.
When they searched the premises, they initially didn’t find anything, but K9 Virus was brought in and sniffed out the mandrax and tik hidden in a headboard in the bedroom.
This incident highlights once again the invaluable role that the City’s canines play in crime prevention….
