Dagga dealers arrested, Kimberly

Two men aged 30 and 38 were arrested for possession of dagga by Kimberley Visible Police members who conducted a vehicle checkpoint in Greenpoint Dutch Reform Street at approximately 10:50 on Thursday, 23 January 2020.

It is alleged that the two suspects were stopped by the police and the driver was requested for his driver’s licence and for the vehicle to be searched. Upon their search, police found four black plastics containing dagga weighing 3,118kg with an estimated street value of R25 000-00 in the boot of the white Polo which the suspects were driving, and cash valued at R9600-00 was found in their possession.

Suspects were arrested for possession of dagga and will soon appear in the Kimberley Magistrates Court.
