Children held at gunpoint during robbery at reserve near Pretoria

A neighbor was visiting a Mr. Johan Prinsloo (73) at his farm, on Plot 83, in Lydenburg, Mpumalanga last night, February 10, and left around 20H30. Not long after the neighbor left several suspects overpowered Prinsloo.

The suspects put a bag over his head and assaulted him. The suspects fled the scene with bank cards, pin numbers, a .22 firearm, and a vehicle.

Once the suspects left, Johan Prinsloo could not activate an alarm and it was only this morning that he was found. Prinsloo was taken to the hospital and treated for injuries. Reports state that he was not seriously injured.

The vehicle, a white Isuzu single cab pickup, registration number BB69SG GP is still missing. The public is not to confront the suspects who are armed and dangerous but rather notify the police.

The police are investigating the incident.
