A 50-year-old tenant from Vindia Gardens in Randburg held his alleged ex-girlfriend, the landlord and landlord’s wife hostage on Wednesday 4 January 2017.
The suspect used knifes to threaten the victims.
Police hostage negotiators were summoned and successfully negotiated with the perpetrator who later released all the suspects unharmed and without injuries.
The reason for the hostage situation cannot be confirmed at this stage.
The suspect was arrested and charged with kidnapping and possession of dangerous weapons.
