A farm attack took place on 6 August 2020, at about 01:30, on a smallholding, in Honingnestkrans, near Pretoria, in the Gauteng province of South Africa. Three attackers broke in through the door and shot a man dead in his bed. There is a possibility that the man returned fire as there was a reasonable amount of blood outside the home.
The man’s mother who was in the home at the time was not injured but has been severely traumatized. It seems at this point that only a phone and laptop have been taken.
This is the umpteenth farm murder in the country in recent weeks. Farmers, police and other role players are searching for the suspects but there have been no arrests.
