The mother of a family that was attacked on their agricultural holding in Elandsfontein, in the Gauteng province of South Africa, on 4 August 2020, just before 06:00, has succumbed to her injuries. It was earlier reported that the dad had been killed after being shot in the head and the daughter of the family was wounded in the leg.
The daughter messaged the neighbour for assistance who in turn raised the alarm. The daughter and mother were both airlifted to hospital. The dad was declared dead on the scene.
There have been no arrests. There is no other information available at this stage.
