Front National calls on International Sports bodies to suspend South Africa teams

Front National calls on International Sports bodies to suspend South African teams from international participation because of discriminatory quota system.

Front National rejects the discriminatory quota system enforced on South African sports teams. It is proven that this system, prescribing the selection of players based on race rather than merit, is a dismal failure, as can be seen in the performance and participation of the Protea Cricket Team in the Cricketing World Cup. Former players such as Clive Rice warned against the disasterous outcome of the quota system. It is now evident that he was right.

Front National reiterates that merit should be applied as the only criterium for selecting sports teams. Deserving players are being discriminated against as a result of their ethnicity and from unacceptable meddling by government. We reject the quota system applied by SARU (SA Rugby Union) and all other sports bodies.

Front National calls upon the IOC to implement sanctions against SASCOC in terms of the IOC’s own stance on merit as criterium for selecting sports teams. We also ask for a full suspension of South African teams from all international sports participation, exactly as the IOC is currently doing with Fidji, until such time as the quota system is disbanded.
