An estate agent found the body of Bossie Badenhorst (64) Saturday morning on his farm Doelgerig, near Modimolle (Nylstroom) in Limpopo.
Col. Ronel Otto, police spokesman, told Maroela Media the agent took clients to the farm as it is for sale. Badenhorst’s body was found in the garage. He had a wound on the back of his head.
According to Otto, a person who worked on the farm since disappeared. “It is not yet known whether anything was stolen.” Badenhorst was presumably killed two or three days ago. He lived alone.
It is not yet clear how access was gained to the house or how many attackers were involved.
Police are investigating a case of murder.
The murder occurred just over two weeks after Jakes of Deventer (35) was attacked and murdered on a farm near Bela-Bela (Warmbaths). Four suspects attacked Van Deventer and his fiancée, Monique de Souza (28), at about 01:00 in their house.
