Die Spoorsnyers (The Trackers) were called on March 27, 2015 around 02:45 after a farm attack at Tobias Station, Mookgophong (Naboomspruit).
Mr. David Naude and his wife Ina were attacked on March 26, 2015 about 23:45 in their home while they were sleeping.
They were assaulted and Mr. Naude was hit against the head with a crowbar.
They were forced to empty out the safe. The robbers stole jewelry, a coin collection, flat-screen TV, laptop, cell phones and a .38 revolver.
The couple were tied up and locked in the bathroom.
After this, the attackers also locked the security gate. Mrs. Naude managed to free themselves with scissors.
She broke the security gate open with an axe in order to get help from the Naboomspruit police.
The attackers gained access to the house by forcing open the front door and security gate with a crowbar.
The police are investigating the case.
