Five people were shot on Thursday morning when armed robbers opened fire at the Whitehouse Shopping Centre in Phoenix.
KZN VIP spoeksman Gareth Naidoo, has confirmed that five civilians were shot in the cash heist and shootout that occurred at CheckStar, a short while ago.
Naidoo said, “Two people were caught in the crossfire at the Whitehouse robots.”
“Two more people were shot near the CheckStar premises.”
“Another person was shot at the Glen Anil entrance and the victim is believed to be in a critical condition.”
The G4S officer was severely assaulted and thrown to the ground whilst his firearm was stolen by the armed robbers.
The numbers of suspects cannot be confirmed at this stage.
KZN VIP, RUSA and EMRS ambulance services stabilized and transported the injured to hospitals for further medical treatment.”
